Brain Power alumna Cora Usurelu has been selected as one of 50 recipients of the prestigious Queen’s Chancellor’s Scholarship (valued at $36,000)! The scholarship requires that the candidate demonstrate superior academic ability, creative and original thinking, and proven leadership qualities. Cora will be attending her first year of Queen’s Commerce in the fall! CONGRATULATIONS, CORA!

Brain Power student Achinthyaa Kaveri has been awarded the Silver Key in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards presented by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers for her short story “The Last Painting.” In the past, the Scholastic Awards has recognized some famous artists when they were teenagers, including  Andy Warhol, Tschabalala Self, Stephen King, Charles White, Joyce Carol Oates, and Kay Walkingstick CONGRATULATIONS, ACHINTHYAA!

Brain Power student, Andrew Botros, has placed 7th in the Professional Engineers of Ontario 2020 Mathletics Competition! WOW! That is so exciting! Andrew’s mom writes: “I would like to thank you for helping him take his math skills to the next level, and encouraging him to participate in these sorts of challenges, it was definitely a great experience, and motivating to participate in further competitions.” We love telling our students about external opportunities where they can use all of the skills and knowledge they learned at Brain Power to excel!
