Field Trips & Activities

At Brain Power we believe that excellent learning can occur in and out of the classroom. That’s why we give our students the opportunity to participate in educational field trips and activties throughout the school year!  Whether we are going to the CBC to see a taping of “The Debaters” or meet Margaret Atwood, or visiting a professional recording studio to record our own performances, or taking to the great outdoors to participate in environmental initiatives, or travelling across the country to Cape Breton to experience the diversity of our Canadian culture, Brain Power is always finding new ways to learn!

On Saturday, May 13th, Brain Power students went to see Ira Glass at Massey Hall! “The creator of the award-winning public radio show This American Life talked about his program and how it’s put together: what makes a compelling story, where they find the amazing stories for the show, how he and his staff are trying to push broadcast journalism to do things it doesn’t usually do.” We had a great time at the event!
