This unique summer workshop, led by a PhD in ancient languages and cultures, offers an unparalleled opportunity to engage with ancient Egypt, a cradle of knowledge and innovation.

Through hands-on activities—including writing on real papyrus with traditional tools—interactive lessons, and collaborative problem-solving, students will be challenged to think critically, explore new ideas, and develop a broader understanding of humanity’s intellectual and cultural heritage.

Over the course of this rigorous and engaging program, students will:

• Learn to read and write authentic Egyptian hieroglyphs, gaining a deeper understanding of one of humanity’s earliest writing systems.
• Strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving skills through linguistic analysis, decoding exercises, and collaborative challenges.
• Gain insight into language acquisition, discovering how written systems reflect the culture, history, and ingenuity of the people who created them.
• Examine the role of scribes, the intellectual elite of ancient Egypt, and their contributions to preserving and advancing knowledge.
