The Seagull (March 28)
By Brain Power in Book Club
December 20th, 2019
On Saturday, March 28, Brain Power’s book club will learn about and experience one of the greatest masterpieces of modern theatre and literature. We will dissect the brilliant literary aspects of Chekhov’s play, as well as the themes and messages that have spoken to audiences from the late 19th century through to today.
A tale of heartbreak, The Seagull is also a story about how we create stories. The evening will be a great opportunity for students to appreciate how excellent writing goes from page to stage! We will have a lively discussion and enjoy the performance together.
NOTE: The Seagull is part of our Senior 1 Language Arts curriculum. Students in Senior 1 will be especially thrilled to see this work come alive.
