Field Trips & Activities

At Brain Power we believe that excellent learning can occur in and out of the classroom. That’s why we give our students the opportunity to participate in educational field trips and activties throughout the school year!  Whether we are going to the CBC to see a taping of “The Debaters” or meet Margaret Atwood, or visiting a professional recording studio to record our own performances, or taking to the great outdoors to participate in environmental initiatives, or travelling across the country to Cape Breton to experience the diversity of our Canadian culture, Brain Power is always finding new ways to learn!

Recording Studio Visit – 2016/17

JULY 1ST, 2017

Brain Power’s Public Speaking class went on their annual visit to a recording studio! Our students got a chance to record their self-made speeches and podcasts, putting much of the theory they learned in class into practice. They also received valuable feedback from a professional voice coach, and they got to see “behind the scenes” at a professional recording studio!

Every week its correspondents “report” on a variety of completely fabricated “current events,” shining some very funny light on our national...
